Engineering surveys

Engineering surveys in construction are complex; in some cases are narrowed research specializations which are aimed to obtain the most complete and reliable information needed for decision making both in the designing stage and in the construction and assembly work, about the site chosen for the construction of buildings, facilities and laying of communication highways and other permanent buildings.
The main types of engineering surveys include:
  • Geodetic engineering surveys
  • Geological engineering surveys
  • Geotechnical engineering surveys
  • Hydrometeorological engineering surveys
  • Environmental engineering surveys
Depending on specific objectives and tasks, engineering surveys can also include the following special types:
  • Geotechnical surveys
  • Inspection of soil conditions of building and facilities foundations; groundwater exploration for water supply
  • Local monitoring of environment components
  • Exploration of soil-based construction materials
  • Local inspection of soil and groundwater pollution
  • Search, examination of existing cultural heritage monuments, archaeological research
  • Search, detection and determination of military burial places
  • Search, inspection of the territory for the presence of explosive objects in the places of military operations and in the territories of former military formations
